No way, jose. If you"re able to turn on a glue gun, operate it, and not burn yourself--then you are fully capable of working with a stained glass kit.

Oh, they are great for kids. Stained glass art is the perfect way to get kids involved and using their creative muscles.
You will, of course, want to supervise. Some kits require soldering.

There are a bunch of different "levels" of stained glass kits to help you along your stained glass learning curve.
For beginners I would recommend looking at pre-cut stained glass kits which have the glass pieces already sized and grounded for you. (This can be a a big bonus when trying to figure out if you acutally want to pursue this hobby.)

Once you"ve got the hang of the basics, you can go with a slightly more advanced stained glass kit where you"ll get a whole assortment of tools to help you realize your creative vision.(These are usually called tool stained glass kits.)
But regardless of which kit you get, super easy or slightly more advanced, you"ll find stained glass kits are way easier to work with than you thought.
